America's Best-Selling, Natural Cat Litter

Adopt a friend today

It is both our privilege and responsibility to protect and aid needy cats and kittens in every way possible. One way we do this is by producing the healthiest litter available.

Another is to work toward making sure that every cat has the good and safe home they deserve. After all cats have done for us, it's the least we can do in return.

Find a shelter:

1) select a state:

2) select a city:

You give them a home and they give you unconditional love-not a bad deal!

Adopting a cat from a shelter is a simple and extremely rewarding experience. Believe it or not, most cats are in shelters because they are abandoned, lost or had incompatible pets in their previous household-it’s rarely their own fault. Which is why nothing is more satisfying than helping to rescue one of these cats by adopting and providing them with a warm, safe and wonderful home.

Adoption is such an easy process and shelters do all they can to help make it that way. For example:

  • Shelter cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and given routine health checks so you have a documented health history for your prospective cat.
  • Many shelters offer same-day adoption, or at the very worst a 1 to 2-day application process.
  • From start to finish, most shelter adoptions can be accomplished for less than $100. (In most cases, the fee is to cover the cost of vaccinations and spaying or neutering.)
  • Most shelters will provide you with a combination of educational materials, food, cat litter and toys in order to make the transition as easy as possible for you and your cat.
  • A good shelter will prepare you for what to expect when you get your cat home. For example, it’s normal for an adopted cat to be shy and maybe even hide when introduced to its new environment. As a new cat owner, it’s important for you to be aware of that and to give your new cat a few days to get acclimated.

Adopting a cat, whether healthy or not, requires a significant emotional and financial commitment. But the rewards are immeasurable. Not only are you improving (and in some cases saving) the life of a cat, you’re gaining a cherished friend and companion for the rest of your life. It’s the very definition of a win-win situation.

Feline Pine supports adoption and shelters
in a variety of ways:

  • For years, we have provided discounted product to shelters across the United States. Their selfless effort to find homes for needy cats deserves all of our support within the industry.
  • We provide education on adopting cats and kittens. There is nothing more tragic than a cat returned to a shelter because a well-intentioned owner did not fully understand the responsibilities and commitment required.
  • We encourage the adoption of loveable, slightly more mature cats from your local shelter. While we all love kittens, please consider the merit of providing a safe, secure home to those cats who have a harder time finding any home at all.
  • In 2008, we are proud to partner with PetSmart Charities to offer financial and educational support around their nationwide commitment to adoption. We plan to expand this effort to encourage other retail partners to join the adoption cause in the coming year.
  • While its been said many times, please have your cat spayed or neutered to help control the population of stray cats. For more information, visit www.spayusa.org
