Bio

I am a 36 y.o. female and live with my bf of 8 years. We restored a 1966 Ply Barracuda together and show it. We just bought a 1960 ply Valiant for our next project.  We recently lost our two eldery cats, Tuxedo and Funny-Face. Tuxedo died on July 31, 2006 and Funny-Face joined him June 9th of this year.  Tuxedo was 16 when he went to the Bridge and Funny-Face was 18.  Both were diagnosed with CRF three years ago.  I chose to treat them with diet and sub-Qs since CRF is not painful. I raised those two from the day they were born and it was very hard to have to let them go. I hadn’t planned on having another cat so soon…I wanted to wait until I was done reeling from the loss of my boys but when we went on vacation Sept 23, we stopped at a wayside rest area and heard kitten distress calls. I figured it was an older kitten because of how loud it was so I was surprised when I tracked the cries to a tiny little guy.  I imagine he was dumped there by somebody because the nearest residence was at least five miles away. The poor little guy was terrified so it took about 45 minutes to catch him.  We named him Courage after the cartoon, Courage the Cowardly Dog, because the rest area was in the middle of Nowhere and he is a scaredy cat. He has gotten over a lot of his fears (I think he has been hit and kicked before we found him because he used to cower and blink fast when we went to pet him or pick him up).
